Arnold Clark is Europe’s largest independently owned car retailer with 200 branches across the UK. Their Nottingham Motorstore offers customers a range of over 400 new and used cars from their purpose-built facility on the outskirts of the city.

When the showroom required a new roof, they approached specialist industrial roofing contractor Pro Industrial Roofing and Cladding to tender. At 10,000m², the reroofing project was to be PIRC’s largest single skin projects to date, and their first for Arnold Clark.

Large reroofing projects can be relatively straightforward but the key to success is reliability in product choice, fabrication and delivery. In order to meet the client’s tight programme, the materials would need to be fabricated in short order and delivered on a single day.

PIRC have worked with Steadmans, the leading manufacturer of roofing and cladding profiles, for several years and built up a good relationship with the team, so they approached them to support the tender and quote for the job at short notice.

Steadmans supplied all the components for the reroofing project including 10,000m² of AS30/1000 0.7mm deep profile external roof sheet in Goosewing Grey, with all required accessories, with insulation, fixings and all required accessories, on one single day.”
